Dental Implant Supported Bridges

A ceramic bridge can be used to replace any tooth that is missing or beyond repair. Each bridge is individually made to match the shade and contour of your natural teeth, so virtually no one will be able to tell the difference. Your implant supported bridge consists of using modern technology to securely position a durable bridge with natural-looking replacement teeth onto dental implants, which are biocompatible fixtures made of ultra-strong titanium that act just like natural tooth roots. With this method, the healthy adjacent teeth are left untouched.

Implant Supported Dentures

Often known as an overdenture, an implant supported denture replaces all your missing teeth either on your lower or upper jaw. Supported by at least two dental implants, these teeth act and function like a denture with more stability and functionality. You will be able to maintain your smile and be able to enjoy your daily lifestyle.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dental implants provide a permanent dental restoration option that will last a lifetime for individuals with missing or failing teeth. Unlike dentures that can shift, fall out and can be messy to maintain; dental implants can restore an individual’s bite with a permanent solution that no longer restricts what they can eat or what they can drink.
Dental implants today are designed to look and feel the same as your natural teeth. At In A Day Smile we have an in-house lab that allows us to design, place and adjust your implant supported teeth within the same visit. This allows us to provide an extremely functional natural bite that not only feels great but looks great too!
Nearly everyone who is missing one or more teeth and in general good health is a candidate for dental implant treatment. However, there are very few conditions that would keep someone from having implant treatment altogether. These factors include the quality and quantity of available bone for implant placement, uncontrolled diabetes and other auto-immune diseases.
The length of treatment depends on the overall oral health of the patient at the start of the procedure. However, in most cases the In A Day Smile dental implant treatments are completed the same day and the patient is able to walk out of our office with a fully functional temporary bridge/crown. For patients with more advanced periodontal disease and or significant bone loss; treatment can range from several weeks to several months to restore the overall oral health and then place a permanent solution. In both cases the end result is the same; a healthy functional permanent smile.
In most cases patients report little to no discomfort during and after the procedure. At In A Day Smile we understand that everybody has a different pain and comfort level which is why we offer both oral and IV sedation to fit our patients’ needs.
If you are missing a single tooth the answer is yes; you will have one implant placed to restore your missing tooth. If you are missing a couple of teeth in the same area of the mouth we can apply a implant supported bridge that will cover numerous teeth on one or two implants. Lastly, if you are missing all of your teeth on the top or bottom or both; we will perform an All-on-4, All-on-5 or All-on-6 procedure that will restore the entire upper or bottom teeth on 4, 5 or 6 implants.
Dental implants are designed to be a permanent solution to tooth loss. In fact, numerous studies and clinical research have shown that dental implants have been successful for decades. That said, the life of a dental implant relies heavily on the overall oral health of the individual. Dental implants are not a set-it-and-forget-it solution; it is imperative that patients incorporate a daily oral health routine of regular brushing and flossing. When this is applied to a successfully placed implant; dental implants can outlast natural teeth in most cases.
Dental implants have a well-documented success rate for patients of all ages and oral health. That said, just like with natural teeth, the overall maintenance is key to preserving the overall health of an individual’s dental implant procedure. Which is why at In A Day Smile we offer the first year of maintenance with all of our procedures. This allows us to ensure that the initial phase of the procedure takes a strong permanent hold and allows us to education our patients on the proper way to maintain their beautiful healthy smile.
Many patients that are looking for full mouth restorations have numerous missing and failing teeth. In these situations, if the remaining teeth are failing due to severe periodontal disease, also know as gum disease, or the remaining teeth have had root canal treatment; the dental professional will recommend removing these teeth and restoring the mouth with a All-on-4, All-on-5 or All-on-6 dental implant procedure. This is often done to eliminate any further damage caused by the periodontal disease and to restore the patient’s oral health back to a permanent durable state.
Daily oral care for dental implants varies based upon the implant procedure you receive. For example, a single implant supported crown is maintained just as natural teeth through brushing and flossing and or a waterpik. However, most multi-teeth solutions, will require an additional floss threader to get under the bridge to provide a deeper clean. It is also recommended that patients see their regular dentist and hygienist at least twice each year as well as the surgical specialist who placed their implants at least once each year.
No, on the contrary. With dental implants you will be able to resume a lifestyle similar to anyone with natural teeth. You will be able to eat whatever you choose and drink whatever you choose. In fact, most patients report a significant improvement in their lifestyle due to the restored confidence they receive in having a healthy beautiful smile.
Making the decision to restore your failing teeth with dental implants should come down to more than just the overall cost. Dental implants provide the healthiest and most permanent solution for restoring your overall oral health on the market today. Which in turn makes dental implants one of the most affordable restoration techniques in dental restoration over a patient’s lifetime. That said, the actual cost of implant treatment is based on a number of factors, such as the number of missing teeth being replaced, the type of implant supported teeth (treatment option) recommended and whether additional procedures are necessary to achieve the proper esthetic and functional result. The only way to accurately estimate the cost for an individual patient is to have an examination and consultation with our dental specialists.
Insurance coverage of implant treatment depends on the individual policy. You will need to check with your insurance provider to see what kind of coverage they included. If you have questions regarding insurance coverage you can always call our friendly and knowledgeable staff to setup a free initial consultation to go over your individual needs and coverage/payment options.
